This Bronze pendant has been handcrafted into a spiral design inspired by the spiritual significance of the earliest spiritual symbol in the world. The spiral features a beautiful Lapis Lazuli stone in a subtle square copper bezel.
Lapis was used extensively in Ancient Egypt on the finest of pieces – and was used extensively on the sarcophagus of Tutankhamun
Lapis is a stone full of history and significance which you’re sure to be asked about!
Whether you’d like to treat yourself, or a loved one, this sure makes an impact!
Bronze exudes beauty and strength, attributes cherished by ancient civilizations for thousands of years.
Housed within the warm copper bezel is a gorgeous piece of Lapis Lazuli, which is associated with wisdom, inner truth and communication.
This piece features a hand-crafted soft cord which can be adjusted for length.
Each piece is individually handcrafted by me using traditional and modern techniques, planished, burnished, and polished to a gorgeous finish.
The sustainable bronze material adds a touch of ancient mystique to this heartfelt piece.
- The pendant and stone measures to a length of approximately 80mm, and approximately 25mm at it’s widest point.
- To maintain your Lapis Lazuli, gently wipe it with a soft cloth.
- You can store your pendant in the included Stuff By Rox black gift box to protect it.
- Use a silver cleaning cloth to keep the Bronze bright and shiny as it oxidizes.
- As Bronze oxidizes, it gets darker turning a reddish brown. In this level of oxidization, it’s often mistaken for Copper!
- Oxidization of Bronze and Copper is normal – it’s the metal protecting itself – it’s why copper and bronze jewellery can survive underground for over a thousand years! You can guard against oxidization by using a jewellery wax to create a barrier between the air, your skin and the bare metal.
- You can also use clear nail varnish to create a barrier to keep your piece shiny.
- If there is excess salt on your skin (which quite often happens if you are perspiring when you are hot) without a barrier on the metal, it can transfer this oxidization onto your skin, which will look green. This is the oxidization of the copper in the bronze.
- Not everyone will experience the oxidization on their skin. You can wear a piece for months before it requires a polish – it often depends on environmental factors.
- The simplest way to keep your piece gleaming is to give it a quick polish with a silver cleaning cloth when you remove it.
- Metals such as bronze, copper and silver are the ultimate sustainable materials – they are always able to be recycled and reused.
