Discover Lunaesium: The Phoenix Metal
Symbols & Spirit
I am proud to unveil my own creation – Lunaesium®. I see it as a Phoenix Metal: it rises from the ashes of Alchemy, embracing the four classical elements of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. From that cauldron, something new and beautiful emerges.
The metals within carry the balance of the Sun and Moon: Bronze holds the Sun’s fire, Silver carries the Moon’s light. In Lunaesium, they meet; a harmony echoed in the old stories, from Inti and Mama Quilla guiding the Inca, to Sol and Mani racing across the Norse sky, to the balance of the Equinox during the turning of the Wheel of the Year.
Some pieces shift between silver, violet, and deep indigo – the colours of twilight and midnight – while others glow with the rich reds and pinks of a glorious sunset. At times, they shimmer with the iridescence of the Aurora Borealis, shifting in the sky between worlds. No two creations are ever the same; Lunaesium carries the protection of balance; of light and shadow, day and night, into a single piece of jewellery to be treasured.
Why It's Rare and Unique
Unlike many modern finishes, the colours of Lunaesium are entirely natural. There are no chemical patinas, no artificial surface treatments; every hue and pattern is born from the process itself and my own hand‑working of the materials.
The balance of Bronze and Silver within Lunaesium is more than symbolic; it shapes the way the metal responds to heat, time, and touch. Some develop deep, velvety purples reminiscent of the rare Black Corinthian Bronze prized by the ancients; others bloom into a spectrum of shifting colours, or catch the light with an iridescence that seems almost alive.
This unpredictability is part of its magic. I have created a material that reflects my own approach to making: work with the material, not against it. Embrace the colours, let them guide the process. Each creation is a one‑off — a moment in the workshop that can never be repeated — making every piece of Lunaesium as unique as the person who wears it.
Why Choose Lustrous Lunaesium?
Explore Future History
Lunaesium is the result of my experimentation with metals and ancient techniques to produce something truly unique. Because of this, I felt I needed to trademark the name to ensure Lunaesium remains of the highest quality in materials and production.
Materials
I choose the very best materials to create Lunaesium. I have specific suppliers I trust for the raw materials, and I do not chase down cheaper alternatives. I think that quality and care matters, and that should start with the materials you use.
True Individuality
I am the only person in the world who produces genuine Lunaesium. As every piece is handcrafted from the raw materials, they're truly unique. I make every cut of the saw, every blow of the hammer and every piece of Lunaesium. That can never be replicated.
Timeless Treasures
When designs come from the heart and are built on inspirations built up over thousands of years, they're not a fast fashion fad; they're not a one season wonder: they're ageless.
Quality
I only ever present to you the pieces I'd be delighted to gift to people I truly care about. For this, Quality matters. I want the time, love and care that I put into these pieces to shine through.
The Ultimate Heirloom
Right now, I'm the only person who creates Lunaesium. If you want to get your hands on something rare and unusual for a loved one - something no-one else can get them, then this is a great place to look!
Origins & Legacy
Our ancestors had many names for different types of Bronze, each alloy valued for its own character. Among the rarest was the Black Corinthian Bronze described by Pliny the Elder — a deep purple‑black metal, mysterious in its making:
“…the composition of which it is impossible to describe, for although it has been formed into images and statues by the hand of man, it is chance that rules in the formation of the compound. This last is highly prized for its colour, which approaches to that of liver, and it is on this account that it is called ‘Hepatizon’.”
Some Lunaesium creations echo this ancient wonder, developing the same velvety purples Pliny admired; others reveal colours not described in ancient texts. The process resists strict control — each piece is the result of a meeting between metal, fire, and the moment.
It is this link to a lost tradition, and the thrill of discovering what will emerge, that makes creating with Lunaesium so compelling.
