My Journey Spiral design combines two timeless motifs into a single meaningful design. The serpentine curves represent the tempestuous journey of our lives, whilst the spiral captures the spiritual and ancient meaning it has always carried; life.
Origins & Inspiration:
Journey Spiral
Part sinuous curves and part spiral, the Journey Spiral takes it’s inspiration from two different sources, the snake and the spiral.
For thousands of years, snakes and serpents were not villains; they were revered as a symbol of wisdom and represented change and transformation. The symbol often seen on medical uniforms features a snake entwined around a staff. This is the Rod Of Asclepius, the historical symbol of healing, honouring the Greek God of Healing.
Paired with the oldest spiritual symbol known to mankind, it speaks of our own journeys through life, each one a new and different story.
