Argentium Silver

You may not have heard of Argentium Silver, but I use it in all of my silver designs. Invented in the late 20th century, it was developed to resist tarnish and hold a radiant shine. It is hypoallergenic, made from 100% recycled silver, and offers a higher purity than standard Sterling Silver — combining beauty, comfort, and responsibility in one material.

Argentium Silver is a modern silver alloy named after the Latin word for silver, Argentum. Created in the 1990s, it replaces some of the copper found in traditional silver with germanium, making it naturally tarnish-resistant and hypoallergenic. I choose it for its bright finish, durability, and sustainable origins.

I love working with Argentium Silver because it responds beautifully to heat, allowing me to create effects that aren’t possible with traditional silver. It's a very modern creation – tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic, and made from recycled silver — a material that supports both creative freedom and long-lasting wear.

There are many reasons I use Argentium Silver — its high quality, resistance to tarnish, and hypoallergenic nature among them. Invented just a few decades ago and crafted from recycled silver, it offers a brighter finish and greater purity than standard Sterling Silver, making it both a pleasure to work with and to wear.

Pendant

Pendants are among the earliest forms of jewellery and artistic expression, the first evidence of a decorated piece is over 41,500 years old. They could be made from animal teeth, shells, and stones, used as amulets, talismans and symbols of power. Across cultures, pendants carry deep symbolic meaning; from Ancient Egyptian scarabs to modern designs, they remain a timeless symbol of resilience and our heritage. A pendant is more than just jewellery, it carries a story and the love of the wearer, suspended close to the heart.

Orthoceras

The heart and soul of meaningful jewellery lies in a design that accentuates the chosen stone. I hand selected Orthoceras as the star of the design. They symbolise longevity and the vast cycles of evolution, carrying the memory of Earth’s earliest oceans and the creatures that thrived within them.

While I try to be as accurate as possible, measurements are a rough guide to give you a sense of scale and overall balance.

Fossil

Every fossil was once alive. That simple fact never stops amazing me. The stone you wear around your neck was a creature swimming in ancient seas, or a plant reaching toward a prehistoric sun. Time and pressure and the patient work of minerals transformed it into something that will outlast us all.

I work with fossils because they're the ultimate found objects — nature's own art, millions of years in the making. My job is simply to honour what time has created, to set these ancient treasures in a way that lets their story shine through.

Wearing a fossil connects you to deep time in a way nothing else can. This isn't history measured in centuries but in millions of years. It's a perspective shift you can carry with you, a reminder that we're all part of something much larger and much older than we usually remember.

There's something almost sacred about fossils — they're relics of worlds we can barely imagine, preserved against all odds for us to discover. When I work with a fossil, I'm aware that I'm the first human to touch something that was alive before humans existed.

Each fossil piece I create is unique by definition. No two fossils are alike, because no two ancient lives were alike. The ammonite that became your pendant lived its own individual existence millions of years ago. Now it continues its journey with you.

I design fossil settings to frame rather than overwhelm. The fossil itself is the star — my metalwork simply provides a stage. These pieces are for people who find wonder in deep time, who like the idea of wearing a small piece of Earth's vast history.

Fossils are nature's memory, preserved in stone. Every spiral of an ammonite, every frond of an ancient fern, every tooth of a prehistoric creature — they're all messages from a world we'll never see, written in a language of form and pattern.

Working with fossils requires a different approach than other gemstones. Each one has its own story, its own personality, its own demands. I spend time with each fossil before I design its setting, letting it tell me what it needs.

People who love fossils tend to think in long timeframes. They're the ones who look at mountains and see the slow work of epochs. Wearing a fossil is joining that conversation with deep time, carrying proof that the present moment is just one frame in an unfathomably long film.

This piece has found its forever home

But if something about it spoke to you — the design, the stone, the feeling — I'd love to hear about it. Every piece I make is unique, and sometimes a conversation leads to something beautiful.
